Bannana wanted

This week after loosing the majority of his life savings a New Jersey man was sent an offer to buy a dreadlocked bannana for 2,600 plus and Xbox kinect. The website college humor decided that if the Facebook announcement got 26 thousand likes they would give the man 2600 hundred dollars. The man claimed he had been practicing at home and that the carnival games were "rigged" The man doesn't want his identity revealed until he gets his money from the website.
My connection is text to world. I remember a few years ago when a potatoe chip was cracked and looked like Abe Lincoln's head or the grilled cheese that looked like Mona Lisa that sold for millions of dollars. And a lot of time these types of things the money goes to some shady charity or you never see the owner ever again. (the owner of the grilled cheese or whatever.) Hopefully this man doesn't make the mistake of spending 3 grand at a carnival ever again

New Stem Cell Research :)

A few years ago Brad Perry's dogs developed severe joint pain and problems due to age and activity levels. "They couldn't even come meet me at the door on most days." "I began to give them pain relievers and anti inflammatory medicines but they have bad effects on the liver and kidneys." So he took his dogs to a study group in a local University Hospital where they extracted stem cells from other animals that dealt better with arthritis and joint damage. They then injected the new cells or however they do it and now his dogs are feeling like pups again. This is important because this could be a new step in treating arthritis and joint damage In humans. This reminded me of cloning for some reason and how it started on Dolly the shep and now they clone dogs, cats and birds and all sorts of animals. So I have a text to world connection.

Forgiveness

A dying Nazi soldier asks a Jew to forgive him for killing inncoent Jews during the Holocaust.
This was actually a real thing as indicated in "The Sunflower". In my opinion us as humans don't have the power to judge for forgiveness or guilt. The Power of that should be left to our creater, or who ever or whatever you believe created us. I believe personally that the man tried to appologize and repent to someone who's people he had wronged. So in the end i believe he felt bad and deserved forgiveness. This shows he was sorry and I truelly believe he was sorry, that doesn't make what he did okay but it does show he in the end knew he was wrong. I believe the man deserved forgiveness and he was probably granted it. I wouldve forgiven him.

Preparing for the fire

The chief of the California forestry commission slash this week that they expect "many more fires than usual years and we are having to face these fires with less firefighters." Now I've done some research and so far there has been a decrease in fires this year so far. But the weather forecast claims this is gonna be another long hot summer. So it all spends on rainfall. I guess my connection is text to world because in recent years all the excitement has been about tornadoes and, massive snow storms coming farther and farther south every year. I remember the channel 4 meteorologist saying last summer about a "super cell" of severe storms. I realize that that was for my part of the state and not California. But California has been seeing lots of rain. That's the explination for all the Mud slides that have been forming recently. I believe this Forestry Department man, but as of now it doesn't seem likely any forest fires will occur. I really hate seeing trees burn but all we can do is hope and pray for rain when its needed.

Parents being sued

Everyone in the world feels like they have been mistreated or cheated in life at some point. 32 year old Bernard Anderson Bey of Brooklyn decided to sue his parents for not loving him enough. He claims they were always poor is father doesn't care about him or his family. He is suing for 200,000 dollars and a half mortgage on their home so "their family can buy 2 Domino's Pizza franchises" and employ everyone. Bernard claims his daddy beat him and called him terrible names and that he owes him this much. What Bernard doesn't realize is that his parents owe him nothing and he has to do what he can in this world. Lots of people have it a lot worse off and have done great things with it. I have a text to world connection because it seems like everytime I watch Tv Someone is suing mom or dad because they mistreated them, or didn't get them the right car so they Sue for damages. This isn't reality TV and in my oppinion probably should suck it up. I think that this person may not know the definition of mistreatment or he would think different about the whole situation. In my opinion this whole story is ridiculous and people should know better.

The standoff is over!

5 year old who is being held hostage in a bunker Alabama has finally been freed. The of abductor is dead and everyone is in good spirits and the boy is laughing and glad to be back with his parents. The boy has Attention Deficit Hyperactive disorder and did not have the proper medication with him when he was abducted.
The abductor was a 65 year old man. My text to world connection is this reminds me of the Adam Walsh story. Adam Walsh was sent out side of the department store and abducted in the parking lot, he was later killed. Also I have a text to text connection when I read about Jaycee Lee Dugard an 11 year old that  was kidnapped and forced to be a wife and mom at the age of eleven. After hearing all these I feel more cautious when I'm out late at night by myself or if maybe I lose my mother my friends in Walmart or Kroger. These children probably thought this would never happen to them just like I feel this way but now I know better. It saddens me that the world is getting to the point where your children are not safe anywhere. Lots of children are abducted at home. To me that's the safest place you can be. Hopefully with strong laws and longer prison sentences this won't happen as much in the future.

Sandy Hook

On December 14, 2012 a man named Adam Lanza came into Sandy Hook elementary school with weapons and and intent to do destruction. When I heard about this I didn't realize it was an elementary school so my first reaction was to think it was a Columbine repeat. The man at Sandy Hook killed 20 children and 6 adult workers for the school where Columbine High school had 13 dead and 21 injured. I know it's hard to compare these since one is a High School and one is elementary but that is my text to world connection.
Lots of the details of that day at Sandy Hook were missed and inaccurate. Adam Lanza's mother had nothing to do with the school were in reports She worked as a substitute teacher. Also the weapons that were used were a .223 rifle and a 9mm pistol no explosives were used and the shooter wasn't wearing bulletproof armor. By now this isn't as current as it was but it still has long term effects on on country.
This started a new wave of argument on gun bands and gun control. It also was a big political thing on who would deal with the issue first and in the right way. Obama won the election again, possibly because of the way he handled the aftermath of this terrible tragedy and the way voters saw it. As things like this keep happening the situation does need to be handled some way though.
